Getting a haircut in the summer. He doesn't like his feet trimmed.

Best Tricks:
He smiles, and tells us if the pigs get out!

Arrival Story:
We went to a small restaurant on the Interstate to eat lunch. When we opened the pickup doors to get out, this mangy, tick infested stray dog ran up to us. I guess he thought he recognized the truck at first, but when he saw it wasn't anyone he knew, he just wilted down and walked away so sad. It was heartbreaking to see. We watched him from the window while we ate, and he curled up and slept under our pickup. We shared some scraps with him, and when my Dad came out of the restaurant, he just bent down and scooped this dog up and put him in the pickup bed, so we took him home.

Bio:
Digger was a diamond in the rough that day. We treated his mange and parasite problem, and today he has a beautiful shiny coat and he's such a happy dog. He curls his lip up and gives us smiles when we come outside, and he dances circles around us. He's a big help on the farm, and he likes the chickens and other livestock, all but the pigs. He has never warmed up to them! We often wonder about his past and think he may have strayed from his home, or fell out of the back of someone's farm truck. He knew how to sit and shake hands, and he's such a wonderful dog, I just know someone else loved him before he came to us.

Dear Reader,

Inturder Alert! There are strange people here. Mom and My Girl said they're friends from a place called Australia. I've never been there, but I heard that its summer there right now. I didn't believe it. I've roamed everywhere and never seen such a place, But My Girl ashured me that its true. Hyacinth seems to like them. She's around them every chance she gets.
Well, gotta go.
Hugs, Digger

A long week!

Dear Reader,

It has been a long week, but its fun when My Girl comes to see me. She came out to my doghut and played for about an hour. In the end she and I layed down in the hay and fell asleep. I love being with her and her family.
The Christmas Goose, Albert, is taking my territory though. I won't stand for it, but I can't do anything. My Girl said she better not come home to an injured goose. I told her she could trust me, but if he goes missing I had nothing to do with it. LOL.

Hugs, Digger

What a doggy day!

Dear Reader,

Last night I saw the strangest thing! It was a goose! I've never seen a goose before, but now there's one in my back yard. My Girl said it came from the neighbors up the hill. We hear them all the time quacking away, but I've never accually seen one.
It snowed this weekend. I woke up to a beautiful, white country day. The pigs seemed happy about it. When My Girl let them outside, they ran around excited.
Mom went to Tulsa Saturday to pick up a new dog. She's a wired fox terrier. I haven't met her yet. I heard she was at least 5 years old. I can't wait to meet her. Tell and Cap are excited to have another terrier in the family.
Well, I better go. Talk to ya'll later.

Hugs, Digger
