Arrival Story:
I just kept bugging my parents to let me get a little dog. We found ChaChi through an add in a pet store. When we went to see him, he was really shy, but so adorable! He was 4 months old when we got him. Took him a while to get used to his new home, but he took to my cat right away! My cat is orange and sort of looked like ChaChi's surrogate mommy from the breeders.

Bio:
ChaChi has always been a little...'off'...his whole life. I've gone through many vets and many theories with him. From what I could gather, he was just neurotic and psychotic. No matter how much socializing he went through, nothing really changed. Recently, I did some research about meds that could help take the edge off, and I found out that he has Deritualization Anxiety Disorder (DAD). It's kind of like an obsessive compulsive disorder. He doesn't know how to act around other dogs. When my other 2 boys start playing, ChaChi will run up to them like he wants to play, growl, then leave the room. He isolates himself, and licks his paws non-stop. From what I can gather, this isn't an uncommon disorder, and a lot of vets just treat it as allergies (because of bald spots from obsessive licking) But, ChaChi is getting a lot better, now that we know what is wrong with him. Lots of room for improvement, but we're getting there.
