Arrival Story:
When I was in kindergarten, my mom would walk up from my house everyday to pick me up. One day, she saw a dog walking around the street and decided to pick her up. She looked all around the school for her owner, but it was obvious she had been walking for awhile and her leg was hurt, so it seemed like she was hit by a car possibly. We took her home and she stayed in our backyard. I was the happiest girl because I had wished for a dog ever since I could remember. I named her Poochie. We lived with my grandma who said we couldn't keep her, so our friends' cousins took her. I was so sad when I had to drop her off, but the good news came later. They decided not to keep her because she pulled too much on the leash and called to ask if we wanted her before they took her to the pound. Somehow we were allowed to keep her and her new name became Casey.

Casey was the most loving dog I have ever known. She would sleep with me on my bed every single night, right next to me. We would go walking everyday and she used to drag me around the town on my rollerblades when I was little sometimes. We played every single day outside and though when we first got her, she would jump over the fence in our backyard, she would never run away but always sit on the front lawn and wait for us to find her. When we moved, she never left the property and knew her bounds though there is no fence. Casey became my best friend and when I had no friends when I moved, I had her to rely on. She was the best dog ever and the day she died was the saddest day in my life. RIP 10-13-01 It's been over 7 years and I can't believe how fast time has gone by without you. I'll love and miss you forever Casey.
