Arrival Story:
We live on tp the side of a cape looking out over the bay at Yallingup in Western Australia. It is rural setting on 4 acres of land. One Sunday I went to the local markets and to buy some fruit and vegetables. The lady selling potatoes had a baby's play pen with five pups in it. Four where black and one was red. The black pups were all male whilst the red pup was a female. The lady didn't like these pups because she bred pedigree Red Cloud Kelpies and these pups were cross breds (a husky had his wicked way with her champion red healer) so she wanted to get rid of the pups or they would be put down. I told her they were Kuskies - a cross between a Kelpie and a Husky. She said she didn't care what I called them. She thought they were nothing but a bloody nuisence. I took the red pup on the spot (I'd have taken all of them but my husband would have thrown a spack as we already have three cats and another dear old dog called Annie). My son named the pup Myf . To start with, she was very, very timid. She was very hungry, dirty, covered in fleas and had never been wormed. She kept crashing into the glass doors and windows because she had been kept in the dark and was very frightened but she loved Annie from the start. Annie is 12 and very tolerant and gentle although she (Annie) did get abit jealous of Myf to start with). The cats hate her!

Bio:
My son and I took Myf to the vet, got the fleas under control and had her vacinated. That was 8 months ago. Noww she is the most lovely dog. She greets every body with joy and is no longer timid. She is bonded with Annie and they sleep together on a fake tiger skin futon. She is very much part of the family.
