She is a shaker...shakes the paws, shakes the butt, can HERD better than the Collie (only for a very legitimate reason though), and can do great body slams.
Arrival Story:
In doing NW CHOW CHOW RESCUE (www.rescueachow.petfinder.com) , Chata came to us as a foster after being evicted from her home which was an apartment that didn't allow dogs. She came here and gave the term "takes a while to warm up" and whole new meaning... So this dear girl is sort of what you call a "Sanctuary Dog", but Oh how we love her anyway!
After she finally realized this place wasn't so bad...she fell hard in love, and so did we. Though I tried to place her, she would ward off any potential adopters with her "attitude" and consequently they would choose another chow. We never found that 'right home' that was able or willing to wait for this very special girl to blossom in...so here she is...our sweet girl Chata who we watched Blossom right here with us.
Bio:
Chata had entropian and cherry eye. We had her eyes corrected a total of 3 times before it was corrected---but due to the extent of the damage being left untreated so long, she went blind in one eye and will also need eyedrops everyday for the rest of her life.
Chata is a lover of children and her people...strangers on the other hand are up for a challenge to gain her friendship.
