Nicknames: Little Lucksters, Little Luckysters, Luck-Luck, Luckster, Honey Bunches of Oats, Luck, Lucka, Adorable, Thing, Luck-y!, Luck-Buck, Cheer, Cheerio, Creature, and many, many, more
Birthday: October 12th 2000
Likes: Lucky loves to be cuddled, and told she is just wonderful. She loves her Pupperoni Beef Doggy Snacks, and it's hilarious to see her go up on her hind legs so she can reach the precious Pupperoni. She loves to meet new people, especially the UPS guy.
Pet-Peeves: She hates it when a visitor calls her a boy. She doesn't like it when somebody doesn't say how wonderful she is. But mostly, she hates it when she's not the center of attention.
Favorite Toy: Toy? Lucky is afraid of everything that is at her level. We purchased a squeaky toy and she hid under the chair. She likes the bouncy ball until it accidently hits her in the back.
Favorite Food: She LOVES popcorn. And Honey Nut Cheerios. Plus the Pupperoni. But, pretty much every food makes her throw up for days, which is not nice. Besides the Cherrios and Popcorn "people food" her Iams dry dog food seems to satisfy her.
Favorite Walk: The yard, or to the nearby school. She just prances along, so adorable. It takes about 15 minutes to go 1/8 of a mile.
Best Tricks: Hmm... sadly, Lucky doesn't have the mental capabilities to learn many tricks. Her best would have to be that once you call Lucky three times she'll come to you.
Arrival Story: My brother really wanted a dog for his birthday. Everyone said no, but this only made him want one more. He eventually decided that he wanted a Golden Retriever, which was out of the question, so we picked out the dog who reached out to us most, and Lucky did so. She was named Lucky because of the 7 shape on her back.
Bio: Hmm... she had a sister, Gizmo, but sadly, she passed in February of '04. Then came Dante in May of '05, but he wasn't suited for our family so he was adopted by another family. Now Lucky is an only dog child and I think she prefers it that way.
Everyone says she's a cat. She strikingly resembles one, too.
Forums Motto: The newly discovered half-chihuahua!
Sigh. I am no longer a strict Papillon. I am no longer simply the "runt" Papillion. I am part Chihuahua. Mom is having trouble coming to terms with this. Not that Chihuahua's aren't adorable and loving, sweet, caring dogs, but Mom never envisioned me as one of them. They were all so, um, un-hairy.
But last night, it changed. My true idenity was revealed as a mix. I'm Papuahua. Or a Chihuillon. So I am undergoing an idenity crisis. Mom doesn't know what else I am. Someone said I have the Pom face.
Mom Wikipedia'd Chihuahua and it fit me. The skull, the size, the EVERYTHING. Then there was this long-haired Chihuahua on that site. That could be my long-lost litter mate. I swear. That dog looked exactly like me.
