Do dogs have feelings?

I am writing for Abbie since she is no longer with us.
I know that I have been told over and over again for years that dogs are not able to emote the way we as humans do.
I never thought that was true. Here, we live together in a pack . Each of us contributes and has something to give /teach.
Abbie was our pack alpha bitch. She raised several of the others as her own, especially Titan who lost his mother at two weeks.
Last summer Abbie taught us all one of the most important lessons we might ever learn as unconditional love comes naturally to a dog. The lesson was two fold , how to let go with grace and dignity. Second that dogs do in fact have "feelings" . I watched helplessly as I saw them experience pain and desolation.
