Best Tricks:
The bone on the nose trick...not all dogs can do this one! (he wont wait for the signal since getting jake though, he's afraid if he does jake will take the bone right off his nose)

Arrival Story:
He was cute, how can you say no to that. He actually was extremely hyper and we thought he'd never settle down. He got hit by a car at six months...but already weighing in at 80lbs, he survived with a minor skull fracture! At age three we made the move to have him neutered, and his waistline expanded. We call him fatty cause the vet says he's overweight (for a lab) I dont think the vet realizes he's also TALL (for a lab). He weighs in now at a whopping 110 lbs ...I'll decide he's overweight when i can no longer feel his ribs! His nose is permanently in 'snow' mode..and he has gold eyes. He's not very photogenic, in fact when he sees the camera, he turns the otherway! But he's a really good dog, and wouldn't hurt a fly, even if the fly came up and bit him!

Bio:
He's from the midwest somewhere. (can't remember anymore..Iowa or Idaho, maybe Kansas!)

R.I.P. Fatty 4/10/99~6/26/07

On Tuesday June 26, 2007 my big dog 'Fatty' took his final breath. Having suffered from cancer (thyroid) for more than a year Baxter decided to let fate take him and he charged off over the Rainbow Bridge--no doubt in the company of his faithful companion Jake who passed over just six months earlier.
Unfortunately we were away when this happened, but my father stayed by his side and kept him company till the very end.
While we are deeply heartbroken we know for Baxter this was the best way he could have gone. He will be greatly missed by all of us, we know he is no longer in pain and he is waiting to greet us all with his smiling face and wagging tail when it is time.
We Love you Fatty and We will Miss you Dearly.
