Arrival Story:
We had been looking for a dog for quite a few months and on this particular day we were just about done looking at the dogs at the shelter. Then my husband suggested that we go take one more look. We started back down the aisle looking at all those sad faces and when we got to the end of the row there sat this little white dog huddled in the corner. She looked so sad and so small. Something about her face told me that she needed love more than any other dog in the whole place. From that moment on I knew that this dog needed to be a part of our family. We waited a very long to find this special little dog and now that we found her we will never let her go!
Bio:
Nico was found as a stray and VERY tentative about people when we first brought her home. She was extrememly timid and passive. She would curl up in a ball as tight as she could and not move for hours...even days. It was a struggle just to get her outside let alone walk with us. After many many months of waiting and patience she finally started to turn the corner and feel like she had a home. She can still be shy at times, but has really come out of her shell.
