Arrival Story:
Our pom Tippi had died after 7 months of major health problems. I toldmy kids we could buy from a show breeder of their choice so they did not have to deal with the problems of a dog with an unknown history. They surprised me by saying they wanted to adopt from a shelter and would choose a dog from abreeder as a last resort. They chose Beltane! She had been at the shelter for a month already. The shelter staff told me they couldn't believe she hadn't been adopted already because she was so sweet. Some people think she's "ugly" . I'll admit, she's a little funny looking but to use the word ugly, you'd have to miss her big beautiful brown eyes, which are the prettiest and most loving I've ever seen on any dog.
Bio:
Beltane is a total sweetheart. She constantly wants attention. She loves Nefreteri, my younger daughter who is her mommy, and follows her around. She is part Border Terrier and defintely has the border personality, good and bad. She is a power chewer and will shred things you'd think a dog couldn't chew up, so we have basically childproofed the house to get rid of anything unsafe for her. She also has somewhat of a prey drive, so we have to be careful around small animals. We brought her home at 6 months old and her training was difficult at first, but it changed after some months. I don't think she ever lived inside before our home, so there was a lot for her to learn. She does respond to basic training, and will give us a look like "Am I doing it right?" that is waaay to cute.

My mommy discovered a bump on my neck the other night. She thought I had something stuck to my neck so she had her mommy Erika look at it. Erika pulled but it didn't come off. Erika assumed it was a skin tag but thought she'd make an appointment at the vet the next day.The next day, Erika looked at the bump had swollen to the size of a marble and turned green. GROSS! She almost threw up. She told my mommy to bathe me and put some neosporin on it, and she made an appointment with the vet. Thing is, it fell off with the neosporin. It was a tick. Ewwwwwwwww!

I can't sleep at night. I usually sleep with my mommy. But lately I've been keeping her up so sometimes I have to go in the crate. Its not my fault! My mustache won't let me sleep. It keeps wigglin! It says "Get up! Party some more! Run around! Chew things up!"
