Likes: Benny loves WATER! He loves sprinklers, hose, rivers , lakes, squirt bottles, he goes crazy in it. He likes to chew on anything and everything. He likes to take toys from Rusty and tease him.
Pet-Peeves: Benny does not like Abby, his people sister, to tell him what to do. He thinks she is only good to lick. He hates going in his crate when he has been bad.
Favorite Toy: Tennis balls, water, anything that involves chewing or eating.
Favorite Food: Peanut butter, mom's homemade dogfood, vegetables and anything that falls on the floor.
Favorite Walk: Around the block
Best Tricks: Shake is just about it for now.
Arrival Story: When we decided we wantd another dog Mom really wanted a puppy, but dad talked her into going to the shelter again. So we went. We knew what we liked and their were 2 cattle dogs to choose from. Sadly everyone for the last 3 months and overlooked Benny and his adoption fee was reduced by 50%. The shelter worker said that he would be put down in 2 days. Benny was so sweet and fun to play with. He was still a puppy but full grown, his previous owners had neglected him in their backyard and he has lots of behaviors that need to be nipped (like his nipping) in the bud. Benny has been quite the handful into our once calm home, but we love him very much.

I've Been On Dogster Since:
Yesterday I don't know what happened. Mom & Dad seemed to be really frustrated with me but I don't know why because I just wanted to give them loves. Don't they love me? Of course they do...what am I thinking?
We went to our last basic training class for graduation and I decided I was going to show them who was in charge. My brother Rusty is so smug, he had to rub it in that he wasn't in trouble but I was. I really didn't have much fun at all...Mom kept yelling NO!...STAY!...at me and I just didn't get it. Next thing I know in the afternoon I have a new collar...I'm a little uneasy about it though...I don't think it's for show. My trainer told Mom & Dad that this collar will really work wonders with me because I am so stubborn. Who are they calling stubborn? I'm just cute!
Last night I was laying comfortably in my crate, Dad was in the kitchen making noise and all of the sudden something hit me...I yelped...jumped into the top of my crate and peed my pants because it scared me so bad. I guess Dad didn't mean to shock me because he wanted to see how the black thingy worked and didn't realize my collar was on. He's supposed to wait ten days according to the trainer. I'm not supposed to know that the collar is correcting me but I'm smarter than they think....muahaahahhaaaaaaa....
What should we do tonight Benny....Same thing we do everynight Rusty...Try to take over the world....
SO I read my brother Rusty's entry and I have to say he's got it all wrong. Who does he think he is? I know I am loved most. Just because he is a show off. In obedience class the other dogs just laugh at him. Even the teacher says I am the best dog.
I know I am the youngest in the house, Rusty lets me know all the time. He is a big bully he has even made me have owies on my legs. When mommy or daddy try to play with me he has to come and steal their attention. He's always barking at me too. I really like my new home but Rusty has got to chill out.
One day I will grow up to be the good dog I know I should be. I'm working hard. I've made huge improvement since I came home.
