Timba-Loo !! Timbers

Doggie Dynamics:
not playfulvery playful

Quick Bio:

January 4th 1975

Timba loved to run! I remember when I was a teenager and my brother loved to scateboard. He would put Timba in her harness and she would pull him down the street! She took a long time to get tired. It was like a summertime dogsled :o)

Timba hated to go in the water, hated baths and hated to be brushed!

Favorite Toy:
She liked stuffies, I remember her and a big bird stuffed toy that was my younger sisters. She wasn't too happy that Timba loved it!

Favorite Food:
Timba was so picky! She loved chicken and lamb. She hated all dog foods. We used to mix chicken or lamb in with a Gaines burger and she would pick out all the good stuff and go 'PATOOIE' with the Gaines burger! fussy fussy fussy!

Favorite Walk:
Anywhere as long as it is fast and long :o) We used to go into the ravine that was near my school and she loved to walk near the stream that went through it. She also loved to get loose at the cottage and run like crazy. She would streak past!

Best Tricks:
Running past us like a streak with a huge doggie grin on her face and her tongue lolling out. She could sit very pretty :o)

Arrival Story:
Timba belonged to some neighbours on the street where I grew up. They also had an apricot poodle. Their son was very allergic to Timba (he had major asthma attacks) and they were very upset about having to give her away. My mom fell in love with her and Timba came to live with us when she was 13 months old.

Timba father's name was Husky Acre's Red Ikuma and her mother was Husky Acre's Sharwin. Timba lived to 14 years of age and it was so hard on us (especially my mom) when she became ill and we had to let her go to Rainbow Bridge. At my father's shop they made a stainless steel box and lined it with black acoustic lining to keep her dry and then my mom wrapped her in her favourite blanket. It was winter time and my parents took her to the cottage which is on an island to bury her. That was where she was the happiest :o)

Hi Everydog and Everykitty (Dear Doggie Diary)

I am so glad my sister found my pictures! They were all in a very old album in a box in storage. I wish the pictures were a bit better, but what do you expect from 1978? That is the year that my sister Dianne wrote in the front cover in the album. I remember that the Christmas in 77 was the year she got her first camera, a very *modern* (hahaha) Kodak X15. I know my sisters and my mom have other pictures, and they are going to try and find them. My mom has a picture of me in the backyard at the house we used to live in..there was snow and I sure LOVED the snow!

My sister Dianne used to love to take me for walks and nice long ones. I was so strong and would try to pull hard but my sister wouldn't let me. We would go to the ravine near the house and she would meet her friends there and we would play and they would all pat me and rub my tummy 'cause they all loved me so much.

I used to love my rawhide bone, so much that if anyone tried to take it from me I'd sure tell them about it! I tried to be polite..but it was hard when I had my teeth chomping away!
