Arrival Story:
In the Spring of 2003, my husband went to our local pet store to purchase dog food for our 5 month old Tullamore Due (Tulla). We had been on a waiting list for a Lanseer Newfoundland since January, but on this sunny spring day, Ezra came into our lives. As my husband entered the store he heard a cow bell. He turned around and there was Ezra, five months old and barely able to walk. The pet store had rescued her from another pet store several miles away. Apparently, the first pet store received her from a puppy farm somewhere in the mid-west. They did not have the facilities to keep such a big dog, she was basically crated the first 4 months of her life. The pet store was in a very depressed area, locals barely have enough money to feed their children let alone pay for a pure Newf. The second pet store heard about her and stepped in. They had her for 2 weeks prior to us adopting her. The cow bell was placed around her neck, so they could keep track of her, and she was free to walk around the store. They were hoping to build the muscles that had been damaged while being crated. It's been a long road but she is now a healthy and very happy girl. She does have Cherry eye but we think it makes her look very exotic.

Bio:
We think she came from a puppy farm. We've never been able to find any info on the breader that was listed on her papers.
