Amber was a surprise birthday gift for my Dad after 5 years without a lil doggie buddy . Before he had a little boy dog Sheamus who had lived to be 18 years old , same breed as Amber. My Mom and I decided it was time to get a new sweetie. The only way we figured Dad would agree was to just surprise him. We knew one look at her sweet face and any resevations about another dog would be gone. Since then he says she is the best gift he has ever recieved and she is his best little buddy!!!She is a wonderful companion and never leaves his side. She loves to make friends. If she dosen't know you she will let you know very quickly, she wants to be your friend......with people and other dogs. She is a little princess at heart ...One of the best decisions we have made especially since we now have 3 of her babies with us as well. Early this fall in Sept. 2006 Amber had a surgery on her paw she had a subungual squamous cell carcinoma on her toe( cancer). Her toe was removed.she is doing just great.woof woof ....Thanks to all the people who sent her notes of concern. She still loves to play catch with her ball and doesn't have any difficulty walking as the toe removed was a weight bearing one... lick..lick ,woof..woof all is good
