Birthday: January 10th 2001 Likes: Chasing my tennis ball, swimming, chasing YOUR tennis ball, non-stop licking of people and cats and tennis balls, playing tug, sniffing my kitties' behind, cuddling on the couch, shoving my people off their bed, tennis balls, squirrels, tennis balls! Pet-Peeves: B.S.L.(I am a VERY good boy!), loud noises that come from behind, other doggies that try to "hump" me, when Rowdy steals the spotlight, and ESPECIALLY firecrackers!!! Favorite Toy: My papa Brian who wrestles with me, tennis balls, tug toys, bones, Rowdy, my tongue, empty water jugs, anything you give me(and act like it is good fun); I will love Favorite Food: I love knuckle bones and Trader Joe's peanut butter snacks, I'll happily eat just about anything though. Except onions! Favorite Walk: Every Sunday we walk to Galaxy Grind and they give me treats there! I also love to run along the beach, I like to swim in the Santiam river (does that count as walking?), anywhere my people take me I love cause I am a happy guy!! Best Tricks: I'm a therapy dog and I'm very obedient! I will "stay" for a very long time...just don't forget that I am ON a "stay" please! I can do basic commands (sit, stay etc.) by hand signals alone. I also just learned how to "shake"...if you give me Doritos! Arrival Story: I brought Bonzo home 6 weeks after he was born, his dog-mama decided she didn't want to be a mama anymore! So I took him home and gave him lots of love and kisses...and trained him very well (Thanks Dottie Dunnigan!). Bonzo is the most loved doggie in the whole world! Even when he kicks me off the bed!
Bonzo and I moved from Southern California to the Northwest a year or so ago and he has had many new experiences with wildlife. He has seen a nutria, deer, racoons, cattle, pigs, squirrels, fish, and his new favorite fun- GARTER SNAKES! He loves rooting them out and getting sprayed with their stink! EW! And if anyone knows HOW to make a dog stop chasing squirrels, I'll owe you for life!! Bio: Garbanzo is the funniest little pit bull ever! He is a one-dog comedy routine! He will roll over flop his lips open and smile, smile, smile. If Bonzo sees any body of water he will run full speed into it and swim (though it kinda looks like he does more sinking than swimming) as far as he can, turn around and swim back, get out and shake all over his person, and then go back in for more! We can't take him near water in the winter for fear that he will somehow escape our watch, run into the water and freeze to death. We think HE thinks he is a labrador.
He will shove his butt or head at people to get rubbed and scratched.
I love this little dog-faced man!

I am getting old. It's happening. My mama is getting sadder. My papa is in denial. My doggy brother ignores it. I am getting old.
I am getting old. I cannot run the distance I used to. At Terrace View all I do is roll in and eat the grass instead of madly chasing my ball. Sometimes I have to be pulled along to move faster. I can only swim for a few minutes. I am getting old.

Today is my birthday! Can you believe that I am SIX years old!? I still act like and play like I am a 2-year-old puppy! In fact just this morning Oliver Piss n Piss and I wrestled like there was no tomorrow. He won- again. My mommy and daddy made me a birthday cake. It is made of mashed up doggie treats and hamburger. I can't wait to eat it tonight after my dinner of porterhouse steak and kibble.

I moved to the Great Norhtwest just 6 months ago. I liked the summer, and the fall was fun. But man-o-man I LOVE Winter! Have you ever dug a snow hole and hid in it, until your family thought you ran away, only to pop out and scare them witless? How about eating as much snow as you can, only to puke it all up 15 minutes later? What about tackling the snow shovel or tromping all over the snowmen? I've done all this and more! Snow is the best doggie toy!
