Lily died suddenly without explaination. He decided he needed another dog. So he went to the breeder he got Lily from and saw Mary. She was a year and a half old - living outside in the backyard of the breeders house. She had belonged to a teenager who one day decided he liked cars and girls more than hunting dogs. The teenager never finished paying for Mary so the breeder took her back. My husband just fell in love with her as did I when I met her. Bio: Mary is a purebred English Coonhound - red-tick.
