Husky in the City

I am "Blessed"

Mommy took me to church today! I was so happy that she took me with her since she always do leave me at home everytime she goes for Sunday mass. I wonder why she brought me but I don't care as long as I'm out with her hehehe. When we got there a lot of people were staring at me and probably wondering why I was there, then suddenly a friend of mommy said hello to me & stroked me hehehe good thing I had a bath earlier today & mom sprayed perfume on me that's why I smelled sooooo good!!! So when the mass ended I thought me and mom would go home already but to my surprise my mom's parents were there also and all of us went infront and then the presiding priest talked to mommy saying "Oh you'll have your dog blessed! What's his name?" then mom said replied to him. Then the priest started to pray over me and sprinkled water at me which left me just staring at him while the priest was saying....

"God, you have made us and these pets and all living things. You are even more wonderful than the things you have made. We thank you for giving us these pets who give us joy. As you take care of us, so also we ask that you help us to take care of our pets who trust us to take care of them. By doing this, we know that we share in your own love for all creation. We ask this in Jesus' name."

Everyone was happy, especially my mom after I was blessed since she said that she wasn't able to bring me to church and have me blessed during St. Francis Day. Now, I feel more blessed and fortunate that I ended up with this family.

One of those Days

When I woke up this morning, there was something in the air...true enough this day was busier than the usual day that we have at home which left me wondering. As the day progressed, everyone was busy rearranging things inside the house and putting out boxes when suddenly my mom opened the stereo and played this cd that I have never heard before in which all the songs have the word "Christmas" in it, then to my amazement the "humans" went a bit crazy.....Everyone started to sing and dance to the beat of the song, my mom even grabbed my front paws and started to dance with me. I actually found it weird but then come to think of it I kind of like it hehe just don't tell mom, you know me being a tough guy and all hehehe. Ok back to my story hehe.... after a few minutes there was a large tree inside the house, lights and decorations were being placed also! I can't help but to wag my tail as I look at the tree and give my mischievous look hehehe. I was thinking "GREAT!! They bought me a new toy and it's a BIG one!!!Yipeee" but when I was about to approach it I was stopped by mommy :( Mom looked at me and told me that I can't play with it! BOOOOOOOOOOOOO why can't I play with it?? then she started to put something to my head when I looked at the mirror ACKKKK!!!! There's a butterfly on my head!!!! Oh how I wanted to tear that thing into pieces but unfortunately before I was able to remove it mom already got a picture of me wearing that...sigh!!!! Could it be that all these craziness is because of those songs with the word "Christmas" in it?? It seems that everyone was in a playful mood! Hmmmmm I hope soon I'll find out the reason behind such behavior but as of now I'll just enjoy looking and appreciating the so called "Christmas Tree".
