wow...it has been soooo long since I updated my pals

mom hasn't had internet for over a year (and to be honest it was making her nuts...bol) but we are back in cyber space...woof woof
I am still a big baby...ok maybe the biggest baby around when it comes to my mom...I won't leave her alone sometimes....mom says I am becoming way too clingy and I keep herding her away from everything except me...she says that isn't a good thing..I don't see the problem but I guess we are on the same wave lengths cuz I know when she is going to do something and I am of course right there...in her way...oh well.
today diesel and I got into it a bit....mom was big time mad and put both of us in the kennels...bela was laughing at us since she was the one who was out...that darn pup seems to push the wrong buttons with me. mom grabbed both of us and looked us straight in the eye and said she is the only alpha dog in the house and we better straighten out asap! of course my feelings were hurt...sniff sniff...diesel on the other hand went crazy I swear that dog is missing a few brain cells! he thought mom was playing with him until she flipped his 100 pound body on his back...that dog needs to be run and run hard...though he is the biggest chicken and won't play in the filed like bela and I do...he just stands by mom.

my coat is blowing out already!

it must be a sign that spring will be early this year...so maybe mom is just wishing it to be true...bol this morning mom took me out on the deck and brought out the air hose...yuppers for those of you who think my mom is nuts...the air hose!! I love that thing! she blows it underneath my guard hairs to my undercoat and blows out all of the poofy stuff...it looks like it is snowing GSD's...saves tons of time brushing and makes all the poof balls go away. and the best part is I will sit there and enjoy every minute of it with my eyes half closed in contentment!!!

Today is Kirby's Birthday!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BIG BOY...KIRBY!!!!! who knew that 2 years ago a cute little puppy came into this world....one that would bring into our home so much loyalty, love and friendship. I am so glad we found you! happy birthday sweetie boy we hope you have so many more!

did you see the last picture of me and Nick?

It has taken my mom almost 2 yrs to capture that moment....she gets the camera out and we usually stop or look at her. but anyway that is me and my bestest friend in the whole world! we give each other kisses all the time, mom says "who needs a wash cloth when you have a GSD around"! ok...to some of you humans out there, this may sound kind of yucky....but I have always given Nickie kisses this way and yup he does open his mouth and my tongue slips in his mouth (dad thinks it is gross, mom just laughs) the entire time I am doing this he is saying "aaahhhh" so it sounds kinda funny.

today is a GREAT day so far....

mom got it into her head to take us to the lake!!!! Bela and I had a blast. we played with the water ball and ran in the water for a couple of hours. mom found out bela can't swim!...as a matter of fact she sunk like a rock! mom had to go run into the water to help her (I think she thought she was a submarine) but after a bit of help from mom, she picked up swimming and before we left she was doing great! I wish we lived on the lake...then I could be in the water all day long....that is how much I like it. I gotta go...I need a nap!

what a beautiful day!

it is almost 80 degrees already and it is only 11 am....mom has been busy filling the little boys plastic pool for us. personaly I don't care for the pool, I like the HOSE!! while mom was filling the pool today I just stood in front of her eating water and getting wet..Ooooooooo it feels so good especially when mom puts the nozzle on my back and the water runs on my skin....I just stand there with my eyes half closed in enjoyment!
Bela got yelled at again too today...that pup is always in trouble! she took my mom's absolute favorite keen sandals and started to chew on them (even I know those are off limits!!!) behind my moms back! she had about an inch gone on the back of the sandal before mom caught her...she really got in trouble for that one....sent to the kennel...bela knew she was in trouble too, I can't figure out how come she still does all of that naughty stuff....she never gets away with it...dumb puppy! well I gotta go wasting sunshine out there...gotta go see if the neighbor dogs are out! (we "talk" to each other through the fence, hopefully allie won't be out...always yellin' at me for something....bossy girl if ya ask me!)

April snow...makes me wanna play

I woke up this morning to prettiest outside....snow! bela and I ran around the yard like two nut cases.....it sure is fun!..BOL mom even took a picture of me out in the back yard...she said that we are suppose to get up to 10 inches today and it is the middle of April....gotta luv Wisconsin... a few weeks ago it was 80 degrees a couple of days...now we have snow all over the place! I wonder what is next?....

mom gave me a new nickname today...

SPARKY! it took me a while to figure out why....I guess it is because I go after anything and I mean anything that sparkles...bol Nick, my little brother, was sitting in the sunlight playing with his toys and they made the best sparkles on the wall and ceiling. I was jumping up and down trying to catch them. then I stood in the sunlight and the sun reflected off my tags...oh man I was pouncin' on that shiney thing but could never really catch it. it's kinda like a laser beam and I love those. my mom says I am OCD when it comes to shiney things...well, I guess I am... they are fun to try and catch and I am even teaching Bela about them when she isn't grabbing my neck and playing tug-o-war with my fur.

guess what?????...I learned a new trick!

mom says it isn't a good trick though....I can jump the 4 ft fence! yup that's right I can clear that baby....wooohoooo for me! as a matter of fact I jumped it this morning, much to my mom's dismay cuz she had to go looking for me. and she got really scared. though I knew where i was...right next door checking out the neighbors yard. she was kinda mad too when she called for me and I didn't come right away....I think I heard the words "kirby house" about 2 or 3 times before I started to come home...oh man and then when I got home ...oooooooOOOOO was she mad! she looked at me and shook her finger and that was all it took..I layed down right there on the spot and when she let me in the house I went right for my kennel...I guess I was naughty....she called my dad and told him what I did and said he better start pricing out a bigger fence....bummer! I know she only wants to keep me safe, but geeeezzzz it was fun!

geez mom took bela, the psycho puppy from hell, to the vet the other day to get her puppy shots and apparently she got to talking to the vet....not good for me! ya see I hate having me nails clipped...I mean I really HATE it! it usually takes my dad and sometimes my big brother to sit on me to get me to lay there and the last time I went to the vet to have it done it took 4 techs and a muzzle, which by the way I hated. so I guess mom wanted it to be as stress free as possible and asked the vet for some ideas.....wellllll...mom came home with drugs, doggie downers to be exact...ooooh baby she gave me one of those and I didn't give a crap what they did to me, though mom kept calling me stoner...what is that? I guess it worked...my nails are clipped and I didn't get all stressed and no more wrestling with dad. the only bad thing is she has more.....just in case...dang it! those things made me feel weird and I kept falling over things.
