Atlanta Pet Fair

Oh goodie goodie ~ Mommy is SO excited.. She just got word that the Atlanta Pet Fair website is up and running. For any of you in that area, this is an event that you should try to attend. There are so many speakers and topics, that the weekend is jam packed full of classes that we, as passionate Dog owners, would love to take.
Plus, for those of us that like to groom our own dog, there are classes on that as well. From industry leaders and company reps, the lineup is best described as "stellar". The difficult portion of the event is deciding what fabulous classes to attend. There are so many, from how to clean a clipper, to how to organize a doggie daycare ~ There is something for everyone..
Then, if you are really adventurous, and want to try your hand in the competition ring, they have everything from the best business card, to breed specific grooming, where a panel of Judges watch the groomers, as they sculpt and perfect a breed standard groom, in a set amount of time, with proper profile, and finish being second only to the treatment and care of the dog being groomed. It is really something to see..
This event is open to the public, but is not advertised anywhere.. So, if you are in the area, and want to attend some classes or try your hand in the competition ring, check out their website:
www.atlantapetfair.com You won't be disapointed!
On top of all of these wonderful learning ops, the industry companies are on premise, with the tradeshow portion, where you will find the best tradeshow specials ~ shampoos, equipment etc at rock bottom prices...
If you have never been to one of these events, you owe it to you and your pet to go and have a look see ~ I know you will want to make this an anual event.

Giant regards,

Scotia

My mommy is a groomer of 18 yrs, and often gets asked questions on how to do this or that, that has to do with grooming..

She has been a member of a number of grooming boards for quite a few yrs on the boards, and has a lot of offer as far as the in's and out's of the industry..

After a number of buy attacks etc on existing boards, my mom has decided to create a safe ahven for fellow groomers to ask questions and offer advice, in a safe encouraging environment. Although she is verry busy, she still took on this additional task,in the hopes to create a real place, to go ask a question, and receive an answer from folks that are actively grooming on a daily basis. I hope she really has create a portal where this can be the case.

If any of you dogster members know a groomer, or need grooming advice, tips or tricks - feel free to provide them with mommy's link. http://simplypetgrooming.freeforums.org/
