Arrival Story: Baby Tony spent most of his life at the race track. His entire recorded racing career was at Plainfield Racing Park, CT where he ran in 85 races from April 25, 2002 through January 2,2004. It's hard to imagine what his life was like as a racer. We think he developed problems with his right rear paw, which ended his racing career. He is now "retired" and lives the good life. He was adopted from Going Home Greyhounds near Pittsburgh, PA. by his new Forever Family on April 24, 2004 where he is cherished, loved and nurtured.

Bio: Baby Tony has the heart of a champion. Aside from being quite sleek and handsome, he is very calm and docile. We like to call him "Mr. Laid-Back," just a big couch potato. He is so big and powerful yet gentle as a lamb. He LOVES your attention and affection and will follow you around wherever you go to get it. He will stand patiently and sometimes nuzzle affectionately while waiting for you to pet him. If he could only talk and tell us what's behind those big sad eyes. His roomate "Little Missy" can get his motor running though, and sometimes he actually turns into a dog when they are playing... Updated 11 Apr. 2009: Tony is now 10 and starting to show his age. He has a heart murmur, but not on any meds for it yet. We are watching it closely. He tires out at the end of his walk. He loves to snuggle with us on the couch, still very calm and affectionate.
