Arrival Story: I adopted Gonzo when he was 6 months old and I was 13 years old. His parents worked cattle, he was born on a farm, and returned by his first owners. He was terrified of houses & everything in them, cars, people, dogs, sneezes, crates, and the world in general. Poor Gonzy had a very sad, unstable start in life. But from the moment we met he loved and trusted me and he was my dog, as inexperienced and naive as I was. After years of Obedience classes and behavior modification and building his confidence he has turned into an amazing example of his breed. His resilience makes me cry. We grew up and learned together, he taught me everything I know about training and dogs, and I will never know or trust a dog as much as I do Gonzo. Bio: I'm a sensitive, sweet, loyal kind of fella. It might take me a while to warm up to people and other animals... but once I do, I'm your friend for life! I love my family most of all. I would do anything for them. I also love playing with other dogs, especially my brother and Huskies, balls, frisbees, water of any kind, Agility, Flyball and herding anything that moves!
