New beginnings

Update

Hi friends,

I'm back, it's been awhile since I last left an update on me and my doings. Well let's see, I just celebrated my first birthday, got a nice steak for dinner (thanks Mom) and I got some new toys with brand new squeaky's, so far they are in tact, maybe because Bullet doesn't like them or else they would of been goners by now. =) I am still training for flyball, I have everything down except my box, I am having a hard time because of my body but I am getting there, I hope I can start doing singles by January, my mom hopes I will be ready by then. I am also starting to train for weight pull. We have a tournament that we are hosting at Luke Airforce base in October and mom really wants me to pull, so we have been starting slow. The good thing is Mom is going to get me my very own harness, something pink and girly, I can't wait to see it. Bullet has a blue one with flames, it is very cool but mine is going to rock, can't wait to see what Mom picks for me. Other than that, I am looking forward to a weekend in California, we are going to go visit our family this weekend, I get to stay with my favorite people, my aunt and my favorite cousin Juliana. That kid loves me something fierce, we talk on the phone and I get excited when I hear her call my name, so does Bullet. Mom says she is going to take us to the Dog Beach, one of her and Bullet's favorite spots when they use to live in California. I have never been to that beach but I have been to the beach once in July in San Diego, it was a first for me and I loved it. I ran up and down and jumped in the waves with Bullet, it was so much fun. I just wish there were no other dogs but us cause they get in the way and some chase me and still my toys (sigh) oh well. Hopefully it will be empty since we are going on Friday while everyone is at work and school. Just me, Mom, B, and my aunt Liz, and cousin Juliana. We are going to have so much fun, I just hope I don't melt cause I heard it is very hot over there. Well thanks for reading, I need to take a nap, Mom left for work and won't be back for sometime, so it's just us kids but we have practice tonight so I have to get some good rest for tonight.

Changes

So life has been such a whirlwind these last few months....I am almost 5 and half months now, can you believe it? I am so big and strong!! I am doing so well with my obedience too, Mom can't believe how smart I am...I am way smarter than my brother Bullet =) Ok that wasn't nice but I like to think I'm smarter (he he he). Anyway, I am kinda bored at home so Mom has been spending lots of one on one time with me since Bullet broke his toe. I miss playing with him, sometimes we sneak in a wrestling fest but Mom usually stops us because of Bullet's splint. It's pretty hard to be calm, usually I try to play with the cats but they get mad and will use nails to keep me from pouncing on them, I guess I do outweight them by 10 pounds =) Anyway, I have been going to the dog park for socialization, Mom says I need it cause I get scared of other dogs when they try to sniff me...I sometimes will nip at them to get them away but sometimes they nip back and I scream and run. Hopefully I can outgrow this cause Mom says I have to be a good girl if I want to be able to represent my breed as an ambassador, so wish me luck, I have a lot to live up to.

Settling in

well life has been very different but I think I am doing well, learning the ropes and that sort of thing. I love my new life, I love my house, my mom, my brother Bullet who is so smart and handsome....he acts like he can't stand me but I know deep down he loves me =) I just finished Puppy Kinder and I got a diploma too! I start my next class next month and can't wait as many of my friends from Kinder will be there too. Mom has started me in my flyball training and I am a natural, everyone laughs at me cause sometimes I trip when I run but I have some long legs and sometimes I miss my footing and end up on the floor but it's great fun, I love to chase my mom and when I catch her we play a great game of tug =) Everything is so good, I had an operation that had me down for 2 weeks, Mom says it was good for me so I don't have any babies...I just looked at her like she was crazy cause I'M the baby =) anyway, I am getting big each day, I already out grew 3 crates!! Good thing Mom has friends to borrow crates from or else she would be broke. Right now it seems as if I stopped growing for a second I am now just as tall as my big brother but he outweighs me by 20 pounds but Mom said that I am going to be bigger than him one day, which makes me laugh, Mom is so funny...imagine that ME being bigger than my big brother, she is such a comedian that Mom but I love her.
