Arrival Story:
We saw Sam on the pavement in front of pet store when driving by on way to lunch. My mother thought he was a bulldog so we stopped. He wasn't a bulldog but a cute little white puppy with worms and a hernia. We brought him home, and it's been 10 years of fun!

Sam is a great guy.He has 2 artificial knees and moves around amazingly fast. He's in awesome shape for 10,and loves to run and play. His mom was a Beagle, his Dad an Australian Cattle dog.He is a very handsome boy,and we're very proud of him!He was named for Sam Wheat (Patrick Swayze's character) in Ghost and we had Molly Jensen,a Rottweiler named after Demi Moore's character in Ghost, our favorite movie. On May 9,2007,Sam was diagnosed by our vet Teresa as having lymphoma,AKA lymphatic leukemia. She said he might stay in his physical body for up to 6 weeks. 19 days later,he left us and joined his sisters Molly and Vikki at the bridge. His last days were precious, and he was able to eat (very little),have fun,go for little walks, and live his life to the fullest,as he did each and every day.Sam Wheat was the happiest boy on earth, and now I know he's the happiest boy at the Bridge.......Mama loves you Mr. Wheat!
