Sticks. Any kind, the bigger the better. It's a bitch getting them through the dog door though...

I WANT TO RUN!!! Always. Everywhere. Anytime.

Favorite Toy:
Monkey. I had to de-gut the monkey so she'd be easier to carry around.

Favorite Food:
Anything mom is eating. And hot dogs. I love hot dogs.

Favorite Walk:
Out the door, down the street and into the schoolyard.

Best Tricks:
I can sit and shake, but only when I want to.

Arrival Story:
I went to adopt another dog after the death of Buddy. I went to a rescue shelter in Lake County (two hours away!) and the puppy I originally went for didn't like me (they had not been socialized - they had been dumped at the pound and rescued after two weeks). Fortunately for me, the rescue had two other litters - and Trixie was there with her 8 brothers and sisters. She came up, sat on my feet, and despite the best efforts of her brothers and sisters, was too adorable not to adopt. She promptly fell asleep in my mothers arms while I filled out paperwork. She's a handful, but she's adorable.

Trixie continues to grow by leaps and bounds, and is now completely fascinated by musical performers on television, especially Judy Garland (which I worry about). She will watch until the performance is over, then chew on a toy until the next number starts. She's now 22 lbs. and all energy. Zoomies are constant in our house. She can make it from the dog door to the front room in 0.5 seconds. March '05: Trixie is now 50 lbs and is an "energy pup". She never stops. You could run her for days and she'd never give up. She's a handful, and there are times I want to strangle her, but she's so goofy, it's hard to get mad at her. 08/26/05: We have reached maximum capacity at 68 lbs. She is starting to calm down and enjoys lounging about as well as a good run at the park. She's still a handful, but such a great dog to have around. She is independent, self-sufficient and loves to bounce. 2010: 68lbs and all grown up!

Forums Motto:
