Arrival Story: I was given to an elderly woman for Christmas, she wanted company…just not mine :o( Do not give pets as unplanned gifts!! I was left at a Humane Society as a very young, wild and crazy pup while back yard breeders and puppy millers all stood around waiting to grab me into their breeding frenzies. A young woman stood in line for a LONG time and then I was taken into care of a great woman who helped me along as best she could until she fell ill and was uncertain as to her near future. There was no real choice, I understand that now, she had to give me up to someone very kind and reputable to be re-homed. I fit in with my temporary family just grrrreat and they all treated me as though I were like gold. Then I saw them, my new mom and dad!! They came to visit my temporary family and they stayed for a couple of weeks to get to know me and I grabbed onto them and would not let go. Although, they did try to shake me off a little !! I was determined that THEY WERE PERFECT for me. They may beg to differ at times, but, that is all history now, I have them wrapped around my PAW! Bio: Well I rule my home! I bark at the wind, I eat when I feel like it, I love our cottage ( but, my leash is far too short to reach or give chase in Terrier Style after the wild bunnies and froggies.) I like to grab my toys and sound vicious with growls as I hop about like Tigger trying to entice someone to chase me for my toy or touch my head so I can growl up some more. If someone tries to take my toy, I usually just drop it. I drag my human dad as he tries desperately to take me for a great walk….but, at least I do not chase car and truck tires anymore. I make my human mom hold me like a baby and give me belly rubs upon my demand and until her arms hurt and she catches on to my sneakiness, yip, I suckered her into it…..hehehee – I have trained her well. My male human likes to lay back in his chair as I sit comfortably on his foot rest. I also have both of them trained to go to bed when I pace back and forth to the bedroom door or sit patiently on the edge of our bed until they notice that I am not directly next to them. My human “sister” came to visit with her three Yorkies and wowzers did I have great fun! I did have some reservations as my human “sister” did make me sit in my chair while all humans ate at the dining table. My mom and dad even agreed and I still have to do this, to this day!! She also played Treat Bowling with me and it is a great game for fussy eaters and those of us who have that terrier drive to chase a meal. Not to mention we played fetch and most of the time, I did bring back and leave the toy instead of trying to get her to chase me. I tried to play with the two Yorkie boys, but, they had little interest…they just puttered around like well trained clones, however, the wee female, Puddles, was a little tart and boy did we have FUN. Not a day passed that we didn’t have a game of tug ‘o war or chase. We also barked at all nice visitors who came to the door and they loved us both. We would go outside to potty together and I always had to piddle next to hers to ensure my place in the pack!! Hey this is MY house, but, she was great to have around. She is a sick little Yorkie and I was concerned for her quite a few times…but, she is a TIGER and what a fighter!! She is gone back home now and I miss her but, cannot wait to get together to do more Yorkie play! Bring on the Yorkies…..I am ready to play, play, play….I have no fear!!!
