Olivia wanted this written on Cookie's actual birthdate September 2nd, but we get busy up here in Heaven and she had her own things to handle. Olivia was involved a car accident on Tuesday, August 28 while she was on her way to the first day of her Tuesday/Thursday Fall classes. She was then transported to Santa Rosa hospital to be checked out after complaining of head, chest, neck, right arm/shoulder, and back pain. Her very loved purple van was totaled making Olivia very disappointed. She loved her van Marilyn. They had some fun and great memories together, but after 10 years of being on the road with the Stephens' family, Marilyn was ready to go to Heaven...I'm pretty sure Marilyn Monroe will enjoy driving the car version of herself.
Olivia is now doing better, but still has upper back/neck pain and is in a neck brace she has given the name Nester. We aren't sure how long she will be stuck with Nester as her spine was shown a bit off in CT scans and X-rays. She had an MRI on her neck yesterday and is still anxiously waiting to hear the report.
...Anyway. Olivia has not forgotten about Cookie. Once she gets back to driving and gets herself a new, but used car, her and Cookie will go shopping for presents! Olivia and Cookie are like two peas in a pod. There is no separating the pair. She was given Cookie has a Christmas present in 1996 when Cookie was just a few months old and Olivia was 9 years old. They love taking pictures (if you haven't noticed) and snuggling up together. Olivia even taught her how to be like me! Cookie used to be very quiet and I was always the loud one getting in trouble. Now, Cookie's the loud one getting in trouble. Olivia taught her how to "preach" on cue, something she taught me when I moved in with them back in 2003. "Preaching" is simply "talking" and barking on cue. When Olivia tells Cookie to preach, she does, making Olivia a very proud Mommy. Cookie even sings now whenever the operator or Olivia's mom come on the answering machine!
Olivia and Cookie have been through a lot together. Love, loss, happiness, and disappointments. No matter what they go through they will always have each other and will always be Mother and Daughter.
So, Cookie. Happy 11th birthday! We love and miss you up in here Heaven, but Olivia isn't ready for you to go yet. 11 years down and plenty more to go! Have a great year with plenty of great expierences. Keep on preaching and singing (Olivia's VERY proud)!

Olivia thought I needed to clear up what caused my death. While Olivia's mom thinks it may have been tainted dog food, Olivia says it just isn't so. I ate and was myself up until the last breath I took. I showed no signs of possible kidney failure. I simply died from old age. Another sign it wasn't tainted dog food? Cookie is still alive and kicking. Cookie and I always ate the same dog food and shared the same dog treats. If there would've been tainted dog food we probably both would've been affected. Thankfully, we were switched off of the brands that were tainted before any harm could be done.
As an angel dog, I know there have been several pets entering the gates since the day I got up here. Some have been taken here because of old age. Others have been taken here because of tainted food. Just remember, if your friend has entered the gates of Heaven recently or in the past (regardless of cause) they are watching over you. God doesn't take away people or animals unless it is their time to go. Sadly, there is evil in the world, but at the end of the day goodness prevails. Be comforted knowing that you have one more angel watching over you now than you did the day before.
From here in Heaven to there on Earth I would like to send my condelences on behalf of Olivia and family to all those who have lost animals. Death is a terrible thing, but there is an afterlife. God takes away, but always remember he also sends. If he has taken away a pet or a human from you he will send you another. You are never alone and you are always loved.

Olivia felt it was time for me to stop chit chatting with my mommy and get back to writing entries. So, I'll write one as fast as I can. I got people to watch over, cats to make friends with, and dogs to bother!
Olivia starts her second semester of college this coming week and it will be her first semester ever without me here on Earth. I'm sure she'll do just fine. She's one smart girl. Cookie will be able to help her get some studying done- or at least just help her take breaks.
Olivia's mommy and her have been discussing getting a new dog for awhile. I say, what's taking so long?! Olivia's dad doesn't want a new dog, but I know Cookie and her would love a new buddy in the house. Hopefully, this new year will bring a new dog to the family. They could use a new dog in their lives to add to the one they already have in their lives, Cookie. Besides, one dog is never enough. You need at least two!
Did you see those silly pictures of Olivia and Cookie? Boy do they love to be silly! They've been silly together now for 10 years and I'm sure they'll continue to be silly for many more! Well, I've got to go back to doing my job as an angel. God needs all the help He can get up here!
God's Blessings in this new year from my family to yours!

It's almost Christmas Day! Christmas has always been a very happy holiday wth my family. My mommy and I always went all out, stockings and all. The food helps with the fun. It's been awhile up here in Heaven and not being on Earth for Christmas will be tough, but I will have Christmas here in Heaven with my mommy and friends! Olivia and her family will be spending this holiday with Cookie and some of their family friends. Because it's almost Christmas Day, I will leave you all with a lovely Christmas poem.
Miracles have a way of making news.
Even skeptics stare at parted seas.
Religious or not--Christians, Muslims, Jews--
Resurrection brings them to their knees!
Years ago, miracles were in vogue:
Christ and Moses wowed the willing crowds;
Holy icons healed both saint and rogue;
Rare wonders were ascribed to cups and shrouds.
In our time miracles are everyday,
So few can hope to grab us, or astound.
The mysteries that clutter up our way
May seem much more perplexing than profound.
And yet life is miraculous: to be
Surpasses any wonder we might see.
From my family to yours, have a very merry and safe Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanza (and anything else you may celebrate)!

It's been one month to the day that I've been up here in Heaven. Heaven's been good to me. Earth on the other hand hasn't been very good to Olivia. Olivia tripped and fell on a rock yesterday while volunteering at the Humane Society. She had to get stitches on top of her knee cap so she's been hating gravity a little.
Christmas is almost here! Usually, around this time of year Olivia and her mom would take Cookie and me to see Santa at the Humane Society. This year it'll just have to be Cookie, but I'm sure it'll be fine. Santa was always good to the both of us. =)

It's now been officially 3 weeks here in Heaven and Thanksgiving is tomorrow. My mommy and I would like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving from here in Heaven. We hope you eat lots and lots of turkey or tofurkey (for those of you who are vegetarians). We will be having a wonderful Thanksgiving time here in Heaven. We all just hope you have the same there on Earth. Here is a wonderful Thanksgiving poem for you to enjoy.
Thanksgiving Day will soon be here
It comes around but once a year
If I could only have my way,
We'd have Thanksgiving every day.
With lots of Thanksigiving love from my family to yours,

*sigh* It's now been a total of two weeks up here in Heaven. It just keeps getting longer. I'm still thankful I have my human mommy up here in Heaven to keep me company as time passes and Olivia keeps growing up and raising Cookie. Cookie seems to be doing well. Olivia's been teaching her how to play. She used to always be so scared when I wanted to play with her, but now she plays with Olivia as long as no one tries to join them. I'm glad life is moving on for them. I don't want anyone to be sad. Life is a joyous thing. It's meant to be celebrated, not dreaded.
Olivia would like me to pass on that's she's sorry she's not very good at keeping up with mine and Cookie's pages. I've been watching over her and I for one can tell you she's been really busy with college and volunteering. She's really sad Thanksgiving is next week. It used to be her favorite holiday after me and my mommy moved down because my mommy was the best cook EVER! Olivia loved her food and always misses her every Thanksgiving since she's been up here in Heaven. I know the family will be fine because Olivia is in good company. After all, she has her baby Cookie by her side helping her through the hard times. I'm still on her shoulder with my mommy on the other.

It's been a week since I entered the gate of Heaven. As Olivia misses me more as the days go on, I enjoy watching her and all of my human friends on Earth move on with their lives. It makes me happy when Olivia helps other dogs and especially cats at the Humane Society. I just love those cats!
While I miss my famil, I love spending time with my mommy here in Heaven. It is really pretty up here. I love the views and the weather is just right. I also get to eat all of the foods Olivia wouldn't let me! She always told me they were unhealthy and I needed to lose weight, but God says I can have all I want and don't have to worry about a thing. God also took my aches away and gave me a brand new look! I love it!
I would also like to say I love my humans. They've been great and I will always be the angel on their shoulders! =)

My name is Whitney. I came up here to Heaven last week on Wednesday, November 1. I was only 15 years old, but lived such a great life. I left behind my caretakers and my best friend Cookie. Good news is my human mommy was already up here waiting for my return! She only had to wait 3 years, which isn't too long. I'm so glad to be in Heaven with my mommy!
My caretaker Olivia has been doing my webpage and such making sure it's kept nice and beautiful for me since I'm up here now. I know I am missed, but I want everyone to know Heaven is a wonderful place and I'm doing just fine.
