Arrival Story:
My dad wanted a Golden Retriever, but seeing as how he got a lab mutt, he didn't want Yellow dog and so, he gave her to me and I took care of her, loved her, etc. for almost 4 yrs. of her life. My parents found an add in the Exchange for a found stray dog. The people who found her were farmers and one day they were out harvesting their Wheat field with a combine and told us that if she didn't poke her head up when she did she would have been a goner(dead)and would have never known she was their, because her fur was about the same color as the wheat, they told us that she was skin and bones and the rest you pretty much already know.

About 4 days shy of her 4th B-day, my parents lost the place they were renting, where we lived and decided to move into a 31 ft RV and become full time "RVers", they told me I couldn't bring Yellow Dog, because she was too big and normally my parents are very good about finding good homes and accidently made the mistake of thinking this person who adopted Yellow, was a good "Pet Parent" and let this person have her. Later we found out she was being abused and neglected to be trained to be a guard dog, now she was completely aggressive, and in my heart, I knew she was in the "mental" sense, dead. She was not the dog I knew and loved anymore. For almost 5.5 yrs afterwards I was mad at my parents for being in too much of a hurry and just giveing her away to just anyone. I assume in the "physical" sense she is dead also and is much happier yrs later, waiting over the rainbow bridge for me. I still pray that she will forgive me when the time comes for God to call me home. Since then I've forgiven my parents. Unfortnetly, I still have not forgiven myself for it, but what could I do? I was just a Pre-teen at the time. When she was living with me, it was a very fun time! We took baths together, went swiming in the river in the summer, played "Hide and Seek" with my sister and anyone of the other dogs in the house and went camping alot almost every summer at Steamboat Rock State Park and almost every fall on or around Labor Day weekend at Mt. Rainer National Park. Once we went to Great Falls, MT for Spring Break vacation, it was sure cold up there and snowy, but alot of fun! One summer we went camping on the long peninsuela in Wa, state and saw Olympia- the State Capital and even camped in OR. and went to the Oregon Coast Aqurium.(She couldn't go in with us, but they did have a nice picnic area for people and their pets, so it was the thought that counts. We even went to see the Grand Coulee Dam Laser Light Show together on the 4th of July and had many summer picnics together!!!
