I broke the door to the crate again!

I kept banging on the door to the crate and it broke again. Guess the liquid weld is no match for me! Mommy put the old standby on (duck tape) until she can have somebody fix the door for her. She has a friend that has a soldering iron and she is hoping that can fix it permanently.

Be careful you don't get hurt Abbie! Daddy took the door off my crate when I was litle so guess I'm a lucky Doogie!

I am sort of destructive. I have destroyed carpets, doors, and walls so that is why mommy wants to keep me crated when she is work since I might do some damage. The crate I have is over 15 years old and it is made of metal unlike most of the crates in stores today.

When I was little I ate a hole in the wall. It's on my page! BOL! I have a vari kennel that's plastic. Have you ever had calming treats or the calming collar calming collar Monnie uses one before she gets walked and it is amazing!

Mommy might need to check it out. I did not like the thundershirt, but I don't mind collars and bandanas.

The Thunder shirt didn't work at all for me Abbie but my calming collar is very comfortable and if I wear it when anxious in the house I am resting on the couch within 10 min;)

Oh, Abbie, be careful you don't want to hurt yourself when you are being destructive. I would think a soldering iron should work on that door to fix it.

Try to take it easy Abbie - Santa is coming soon and you want to be on his good list - and, you don't want to hurt yourself.

Mommy is going to put more duct tape on the door tonight since it is coming off. She will not go shopping until either Friday night to get the soldering iron. Our little down does not have store that sells them.

Hmmmm Abbie maybe you could use some wire ties..those long plastic things that you thread through and zip shut.

You will need an industrial heat soldering iron.... because the size of the metal just drinks in the heat from it... the liklihood of solder even melting on to the component parts is very low. Too big a cold frame.. too tiny a soldering iron. It called a heat sink when that happens.

Honestly.. go for the cable ties(tie wraps) you will at least put the door back. I seriously would not waste money on a soldering iron unless you can take the whole thing and have it done professionally with heavy duty irons.

Just my experience with soldering.. which I used to do alot of.

Maybe mommy can ask one of her friends that is a car mechanic to help. She thinks he has an industrial heat soldering iron. The way the door is made, cable ties would not work, mommy tried.
