I had to go the vet todayOctober 25th 2012 7:29 pm[ View A Comments (23) ] Mommy saw a tumor on my belly last night so she took me to the vet and she said it was a fatty tumor and said it was most likely benign. She told mommy just to watch it. While I was there the vet checked my ears and I have another ear infections and I have to have drops in my ears for a week. The vet also scheduled a dental cleaning for December. During my dental cleaning if the tumor seems to be growing she may remove it at that time.
That's what happened to me, Charlie. I had a fatty tumor on my side fur MONTHS! And then the vet took it out when he cleaned my teefers. He took off a bunch of other little bumpies, too. He told mommy some doggies are just lumpy! Yep, I had one too. Had the vet check it when I went for an accupuncture treatment and she said it was a fatty tumor too. Whew! Thank goodness us pupses are o.k. :) Sounds like a maintainance thing !.. The "just lumpies" are annoying .. but benign is GOOD. See how it all goes... Hope your ear infection clears up! Yes, all older puppers get fat lumps, but it is good to get them looked at. Paws crossed for your dental cleaning and hopefully those ears feel much better soon. Thank you all, this is my first fatty tumor, doing good for a 15 year is what the vet said. She is amazed that I am doing as well as I am. I get frequent ear infections, but that is due do my Cocker half Wishing you good luck Glad you mommy takes good care of you Maybe the fatty tumor is from the cocker half, too! I got mine when I was only four or five! And I'm ALWAYS fighting off ear infections. Mommy says, good thing I'm cute! BOL!!! Thank you Peek A Boo. The tumor might be from my Crocker half. I have had ear infections my whole life. Hershey you are very cute. I think it is a good thing that I am cute too. Also from your cocker half, Charlie! BOL!!! I think you are right Hershey. My ears would be as long as your if mommy did not keep the hair on my ears kept short. It helps me not to have so many infections. As long as you keep the hair real short by your head and inside, it doesn't matter how long it is on the bottom. But I still get ear drops all the time. :0/ The vet told mommy with my bad ears that it was best to keep the hair on my ears really light too. It really made a big difference once mommy started having the groomers cut it shorter. It's always best to listen to your vet!! It is a lil' hernia cause i did'not listenz afterwards..Jumpingz and all tat funz stuffâ„ I am not in a good mood today and I did not want mommy to put the ear drops my ears.
