Today is your Gotcha Day

Today is a bittersweet day for me. I was burying Teddy and one of my neighbors was giving way puppies. I went down the street and I fell in love with you instantly. I am so glad that I adopted you. It is so hard to believe that it has been 15 years ago that you came into my life. Now that you are getting older, I cherish each day that I have you.

I got my birthday presents today

I got four bags of the small bites treats I like. They were even on sale and mommy had a coupon too. The treats are all just for me since I can't eat the bigger treats very good anymore. Mommy put them up so Abbie and Toto can't get them. The groomer said that was very good today even when it came time to do my paws.

Mommy almost bought me a new bed since I am sleeping on the floor more. The ones at the pet stores are a little expensive so she want to check out a few website first. Since I like to curl up into a ball she is wanting to get a cuddler type bed.

Today we celebrate your birthday.

You actually birthday is unknown, but just estimated your birthday from the age you were when I adopted you. You have always been such a good dog Charlie. I am so glad that you came into my life. I love you with all my heart.

I was groomed today!

The groomer told mommy that I did very well too. The groomer did not have to report to mommy that I tried nipping her as usual. I don't like my nails to be trimmed at all. When I got home, Abbie was mad and mommy had to make sure Abbie stayed away from me. I took a long nap. Mommy tried to sneak my heartworm pill in my dinner tonight, but I showed her, I spit it out. She might have sneaked into something else, I have to keep an eye on treats to make sure I am not getting something else too.

I had blood work today.

The vet wanted me to take have some blood work since I am now taking Deramaxx and Tramadol for my arthritis pain.
I have to have blood work about every six months as long as I am taking the medicine. Today the waiting room was packed and I was being super hyper as usually and I was getting very impatient. At least mommy brought some treats for me. After the vet mommy took me to Petco and I got some goodies.

I went back to the vet today

Mommy took me the vet this morning and I have to Tramadol in addition to the Dramadol that I starting taking on Saturday. The vet said that the Deramaxx takes up to 72 hours to start helping with the pain so that is why I was in so much pain. The Tramadol is faster acting so when I got home from the vet, mommy gave me one of the pills and I am already seem to be in less pain.

I had to go the vet

Mommy took me to the vet on Saturday since I started to limp really badly and I was shaking my head. I have another ear infection and the vet gave me some Deramaxx to take for my arthritis.

On Sunday I was limping worst and I did not want eat. Mommy could tell I was hurting really bad so she too me to the vet this morning. I have to Tramadol in addition to the Dramadol. The vet said that the Deramaxx takes up to 72 hours to start helping with the pain and that is why I was in so much pain. At least the Tramadol is faster acting so when I got home from the vet, mommy gave me one of the pills and I am already seem to be in last pain.

Great news!

My dental went well; I did not have to lose any teeth. My teeth cleaning went well too. I am still under the effects of the sedation and I am mostly resting this evening. Mommy is so relieved that I did not have to have a tooth pulled. I am 14 years old and I still have all my teeth.

I am feeling better

Mommy thinks the antibiotics and the pain medicine is helping. Today I seem more like more old self. I am enjoying my chicken and rice so much that I beg for more after eat. I still can't eat the kibble.
