This is probably the hardest thing I have ever had to write. Keemooch was and always will be my favorite. NO other dog can take her place. Ever. After a couple of surgeries to remove cysts, and getting close to 13 years of age, I made the difficult decision to not put her through any more pain. She also had a heart condition and cataracts. Once her tumor was too large for her to be comfortable (it was somewhere in her abdomen) She was grossly swollen. took her off her heart meds and watched her carefully, loving her as much as possible. When I knew her to be in pain, I made the difficult phone call to my vet. I was carefully grooming her one last time, crying the whole time. She put up a paw to my face and licked some tears away as if to say its okay.
I have had and still have other dogs but she was the only one who had my whole heart. And she took a big chunk with her. I love the other dogs, but not like her. I hope this gets easier with time. I love and miss you Keemooch.
