Arrival Story:
Shiloh was one of the greatest dogs I've ever met. He had a great personality and loved everyone, and everyone loved him! What can I say? He loved life. He was always so happy and brought me much joy. He may have lived miles away from me, but he was still my dog, and I would visit him as much as I could.

Bio:
Shiloh passed away on July 30th 2006, when two big dogs came up to our house, Shiloh was barking at them, trying to protect us. Then the dogs grabbed him by the neck, and dragged him in the house, under the bed. We rushed him to the emergency vet. He could've survived, but it meant that he would have a hard time barking, lifting up his head, and doing many things. It would also mean he would have to take medication everyday for the rest of his life. We decided that it wasn't fair to have him like that, not being able to do many things, or just be a normal dog. We sadly made the tough decision of putting him to sleep. He was a faithful friend and companion, and will remain in my heart forever.

Touching Poem

By Candy

I stood by your bed last night,
I came to have a peep.
I could see that you were crying,
You found it hard to sleep.

I whined to you softly
as you brushed away a tear,
"It's me, I haven't left you,
I'm well, I'm fine, I'm here."

I was close to you at breakfast,
I watched you pour the tea,
You were thinking of the many times,
your hands reached down to me.

I was with you at the shops today,
Your arms were getting sore.
I longed to take your parcels,
I wish I could do more.

I was with you at my grave today,
You tend it with such care.
I want to reassure you,
that I'm not lying there.

I walked with you towards the house,
as you fumbled for your key.
I gently put my paw on you,
I smiled and said "it's me."

You looked so very tired,
and sank into a chair.
I tried so hard to let you know,
that I was standing there.

It's possible for me to be,
so near you everyday.
To say to you with certainty,
"I never went away."

You sat there very quietly,
then smiled, I think you knew,
in the stillness of that evening,
I was very close to you.

The day is over... I smile
and watch you yawning
and say "goodnight, God bless,
I'll see you in the morning."

And when the time is right for you
to cross the brief divide,
I'll rush across to greet you
and we'll stand, side by side.

I have so many things to show you,
there is so much for you to see.
Be patient, live your journey out.
Then come home to be with me.

May 26th 2007 4: 30pm Pacific

Shiloh here, wanna play a pawsome game? I got tagged by my pal, Girl.

Here are the rules:
Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves. Dogs who are tagged, need to post in their Diary the rules and their 7 pawsome facts. Then choose 7 dogs to tag and list their names. Don’t forget to bark them a pmail that they have been tagged and to read your Diary, or, send them a fun Rosette announcing they've been Tagged!

Here are 7 fun facts about me:
1. The lake was my favorite place to go
2. I liked to catch fish
3. Everyone loved me
4. I loved car rides
5. I am well missed each day
6. I could stand up on my two back paws and do the "cha-cha"

Home At Last

The trees were blowing in the gentle breeze
the sun was shining; thru the leaves on the trees
The meadows are green; and the grass grows tall
off in the distance; you can see a waterfall

Over the falls; down through the creek
the water flows gently; as a rabbit sneaks a peek
Far up above; in the deep blue sky
the birds soar high; as they fly by

The animals play; at the bridge by the waterfall
chasing each other; and just having a ball
They play all day; from morning to night
there's no more rain; just warm sunlight

Off in the distance; the trumpets would blow
all would look up; and notice a bright glow
The harps would play; and the angels would sing
as another pet has come home; who had earned his wings
