Arrival Story: Suki was found as a stray by the local humane rescue shelter. As they could never find her owner, they put her up for adoption. I saw her on their web site and she really touched my heart. She was in a foster home for small dogs. I went there to see her and it was love at first sight!

Bio: Suki has a genetic eye problem and lost her sight soon after coming to her foster home. But she is the sweetest little Peke. She has perfect manners and is a real little lady. Although she is blind, Suki sees with her heart. She is super-intelligent, hence the name "Suki the Super-Intelligent Pekingese'! She understands with her heart better than most people see with their eyes. She and I are soul-mates and my life has been better since I found her.
Suki's friends, I am sorry to tell you that Suki passed away today, 7 June 2008, at about 2 PM. She had been ill with what the vet ethought was a GI infection for a couple of days. She seemed to feel better last night and this morning, but this afternoon, she was looking like she was feelin worse so I took her to the emergency vet hospital and she stopped breathing before we arrived there. We adopted Suki almost two years ago and she was the best dog I ever owned. And I know that Suki can see now and all her infirmities are healed. I felt yesterday that she was there and telling me that she would watch over us until we meet again. All dogs are special, but, if you are blessed, there is one dog who comes along who is more special than all the others. Suki, you were that extra-special little dog in my life. You gave me more in two years than all the other dogs did in an entire dog's lifetime. You set me on the right course. Thanks to you, I finally know what I am supposed to do with my life. Thank you, Suki. You truly were a gift from God and are now my guardian angel until we meet again. Until we are reunited, a little piece of my heart will be missing.
Suki Fu, I will always love you. I will think of you every day for the rest of my life. I hope that I made you happy for the two years that you were with us. I am sorry for all the times I could have spent more time with you but didn't. I guess I did the best I could. Anyway, I know that dogs are forgiving and that you will be faithfully waiting for me. I can hardly wait for that day when I will see you with your eyes healed and we will see each other. You proved to me that soul mates really do exist...you certainly are mine. I hope that it will not be too long before we are reunited forever. I love you, Suki, and always will.
