Arrival Story:
by Sake's mom: He was left in a basket at my doorstep....ok, not really. I found him floating in a basket in the bullrushes...no, not really. I saw a Chin puppy in a pet store and a) not favoring pet stores and b) wanting to rescue a dog, I left....but the little guy's overwhelming force of personality (this is one dog that is hard to ignore) stayed with me. I continued my fruitless search through the humane societies and rescues of Los Angeles County. One day I happened to pass by the same pet store- THREE MONTHS LATER- thought I'd stop in to play with the puppies. Maybe there'd even be another Japanese Chin. Guess who was STILL THERE? At that moment he became a rescue and I knew he was meant to be my dog. Just like the Iggy Pop song....
