Arrival Story:
Murph had the unfortunate start in life of belonging to an addict in Baltimore. When his owner was jailed, 6-month-old Murph was left to fend for himself. He was found by detectives (my partner) after being locked in the apartment for 17 days without food and water. He was emaciated and deemed 'unadoptable' due to his poor condition. So he came to me at 1 a.m. on May 7, 1998.

Bio:
Murph was my soul-mate, my angel-dog, my everything, and was taken from me far, far too soon. I knew he was leaving me days before vets at the University vet hospital finally diagnosed him with lymphoma. I swore I would never get another dog, but having survived his death, I learned that I could survive any. He is buried on my parents' 50 acres along the Niagara Pennisula, just off the shores of Georgian Bay. His grave is nestled in a valley amongst the ridges he so loved to run through. It is marked by a huge cairn of stones and surrounded by blooming wild apple trees, evergreens and a wild rose bush at his head. He was my dearest friend, my savior, and I miss him daily.
