Arrival Story:
We knew we wanted a Chihuahua and went to the AKC show for the two full days, including the Chihuahua Specialty Show the day before. We met lots of wonderful breeders, but when we went home, Mommy felt pressure. The timing was not right. About a month or two later, Mommy kept going on to Petfinder.org and found a doggy named Joey. Joey came from a wonderful organization, called "Stray From the Heart". When Auntie Toni brought Joey over to the apartment, she told us he was found on the mean streets of the Bronx, where they tried for two weeks, getting him out of the rain, but he was so quick and scared ...they finally got him into safety. How can someone so small survive the streets of the Bronx? When we agreed to Foster him, less than 24 hours later we knew we would adopt him! HE WAS NO ITALIAN....He was our Chico From the Bronx!!!!
