The Baker’s Dog, a fabulous dog bakery located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina (but accessible to you Eagles and former Eagles fans via, has found the perfect retort to the Vick signing for our canine pals!
It’s Vick on a Stick!!!!!!

How fantastic! As the bakery describes:

“Vick Michaels” is our popular fresh baked Beefy Boy treat with a fun rawhide stick jammed up his arse. And when you’re pups are done biting Vick’s head off, you can give them the carob/yogurt football for an extra special treat!

For only $6.99, you might feel a little sastisfaction while watching your pooch gnaw off Vick’s head and body. Well worth it. Go here for the Vick on a Stick but check around the rest of the online bakery – there are some other neat treats available for purchase. All of their treats are fresh baked quality ingredients that are safe for dogs. Even though there are no added preservatives, most treats will keep for 3 months (longer if you freeze them!)

But even neater — you can customize the photo on the bagged treat packages!!!!!!! You can choose from their current selection of photos or you can upload YOUR OWN DOG’S PHOTO!!! How cool is that? Where else can you find a bag of treats that has your own dog’s face on them???

So go check this bakery out and show your opposition to the Eagles signing #7 and get a Vick On a Stick!

On a more serious note, apparently Dick's Sporting Goods has decided not to carry MV's jersey. For now:

“Right now we don’t know how much of a demand there is for [the jersey],” Dick’s chief marketing officer, Jeff Hennion, said in a prepared statement. “If there is a demand for it, we’ll sell it.”

So it’s not like Dick’s Sporting Goods is taking a moral stand here, folks. It’s all about economics, supply and demand. They are banking, at this point anyway, on the fact that they believe that most Eagles fans (or former Eagles fans?) won’t want to touch that #7 Jersey with a 10-foot pole.

And if people start asking for it the second Vick helps win a game? How much do you want to bet that Dick’s suddenly starts getting in that #7 jersey?

How nice would it have been if Dick’s had simply said, “no comment”? It really does all come down to money in the end.
