Birthday: September 30th 2004 Likes: He loves hugs, cuddles and lots of kisses. He also loves people watching, his brother Jake, watching things bake in the oven and looking for the other dog in the mirror. Pet-Peeves: Waking up before 10am, his brother Jake and not being able to find that darn other dog in the mirror. Favorite Toy: Tennis ball and Kong treat ball stuffed with all sorts of yummies Favorite Food: Anything that falls on the floor Favorite Walk: Anywhere! Best Tricks: Dance! Arrival Story: We figured that Jake needed a friend so I went to the SPCA to just "Browse". All it took was one look from this boy and I was in love. I sat on the floor, and when they let him out of his kennel he ran over, sat on my lap and started showering me with kisses. He's had a tough life yet managed to stay so gentle and sweet. His previous owner chained him and his brother up outside. One day, he was found by the guys sister hanging by his neck from a tree he had gotten caught up in. The sister took care of the dogs for a bit but couldn't/didn't want to look after them anymore so she brought them into the SPCA. The rest is history... Bio: My sweet boy is a purebred red nose pit bull. I have never gotten involved in the "pit bull" debate and although I knew that most of the information in the media should be seriously questioned, I had no opinion either way. Now, after owning a pit bull, I will always own a pit bull. They are so gentle, caring, goofy and loving. Hooch and I intend on being advocates for the positive image of the pit bull breed. He is working on gettting his Canine Good Citizen certification in order to enroll in pet therapy, goes to obedience classes and is well socialized with adults, children and other animals. I am now a big advocate for the breed and spend much of my free time educating the public.
