Arrival Story:
It was a difficult and occasionally discouraging search for the perfect puppy, but it was all worth it when I finally met the four-week-old litter that I would get a puppy from. There were four puppies: two males and two females, and all I knew was that one of the girls would eventually come home with me. A breeder in Texas had first pick of the girls, so I tried to avoid getting attached to any of them. Suki was an attention hog then as much as now, and while I tried to play with her sister she climbed into my lap, and forced me to let her use my hand as a pillow! Her tiny face fit right into the palm of my hand at the time, and right then, despite all my efforts not to choose one, I knew I wanted that puppy. The next time we went to visit I was informed that the breeder had chosen the other female, who was the larger of the two girls, and four weeks later I was able to bring Suki home.
