Likes: sleeping on my lap, or my mom's lap. playing tug-o-war, playing fetch, playing chase, snuggling
Pet-Peeves: when i won't let him lick me or get on my lap (he paws me incessantly), baths, getting his ears cleaned, being itchy, being left alone, people leaving even if someone else is there, the spray bottle, when we pay attention to the cat
Favorite Toy: his "stinky rope" (he has two, but he likes the stinky one), empty water bottles, anything he can find that's not his
Favorite Food: chicken stew (Halo brand Spot's Stew) with some holistic kibble
Favorite Walk: anywhere
Best Tricks: say "where's your rope?" and he'll go find it and bring it to you! or say "cookie" and he goes to the kitchen for one
Bio: He loves the housekeeper! He goes nuts when she gets here, and won't leave her alone. I think it bugs him that she doesn't ever sit down to snuggle, or play rope. The emergency vet knows him by name! They're a great vet (ASEC on Sepulveda), but I really don't like going there so often. Somehow, though, he worked it out so every emergency he has is in the middle of the night when our regular vet is closed. One vet there has a Frenchie, too, that's almost the same shade as him, but I think the other one would be considered a dark cream color. What made them remember him though is when he came in around midnight covered in golf ball sized hives. We never figured out what triggered it. And that, my friends, is how we discovered his allergies! What fun. Now I keep a big box of 25 mg Benadryl in the cabinet, and I don't take him anywhere without some. His face is always itchy, too, he rubs it on the rug when it gets bad. He loves it though because then he gets a chunk of cheese! (Don't tell him there's a Benadryl in it!) All I can think about with him right now though, is that he bit my neighbor! It was SO awful! He got aggressive when he got older, which is so odd because he loves nothing more than to lie on someone's lap and snuggle. He'll beg for you to pick him up, it's adorable. He does a dance, on his hind legs, pawing at you at the same time. It's really bad behavior, but so cute!

I've Been On Dogster Since:
well mom isn't much fun lately... first of all, around march 20th she started going away. she says she only left a few times, but it sure felt like she was gone for an awful long time. and even when she was here she never really did anything, she'd just sit there. she still just sits there, really.
i don't really get what's going on, and it really upsets me sometimes. i try to get her attention by getting in to everything i can, and ripping things up. she keeps telling me i'm not helping anything, but i don't know what else to do.
apparently momma's best friend died on march 18th, and mom says she was really young. she was 22, though, and that seems awful old to me. but i liked her friend, too, unfortunately. she was one of the only strangers i would sit with. i sat in her lap for at least an hour licking her neck, a week before she died. when she died, mom had to go away to take care of some stuff having to do with that, and when she was home she really just didn't do much. i got really mad when she went away, and each time she came home i'd be more and more mischievous.
she still doesn't really do much, but now she has bad tonsillitis and has a better excuse to sleep a lot. she was already sleeping as much as me, and doing this thing that kind of scares me, that i don't understand. water starts coming out of her face and she makes a lot of noise, and shakes. she says she's crying but i don't know what that means, and i don't like it. i bark at her when she does it, but she doesn't like that, so i just bring her toys instead. when i'm upset i want to play, but i guess it's not the same for her.
mom still really really misses her friend, and is really sad. i don't know how to make her feel better, but i do try. i let her hug me as much as she wants.
Hi all! I'm Zuzu - or, as Mama calls me, Mr.FunnyPants. She says I'm really super silly, and only want to have fun and be adored. I get into trouble a lot but I'm only playing, and before I know it I'm getting squirted in the face by that evil creature - THE SPRAY BOTTLE! I've tried stealing it and hiding it, but mom got a bigger one that's not so easy to hide! So I tried chewing the nozzle so it couldn't spray, but mom has a sixth sense for Mr.FunnyPants Mischief, and caught me - nozzle in teeth. Even then, I tried running off with it to finish the job, but as I said, it's a bigger one, and it was full. SO heavy! I dragged it a few feet to the hallway - headed for the backdoor to my backyard - before I gave up. I left it on the floor and bolted before mom could pick it up and use it against me!
