Likes:
To be held like a baby and have his belly rubbed...he would let anyone hold him this way for as long as they would rub his tummy!

Pet-Peeves:
I'm sure he didn't like some things but I can't really think of any. Oh, I just thought of one...motorcycle ears!

Favorite Toy:
He had a little stuffed kitty that he loved...he used to sleep with it.

Favorite Food:
Chicken, beef, etc...hated dry dogfood and that was before I knew much about how to care for dogs correctly.

Favorite Walk:
Anywhere

Best Tricks:
I might as well have been living in the Dark Ages back then...no Animal Planet, no Dogster, etc. I never even thought about teaching Jose tricks at the time, but I wished I had taught him some later in his life. He was a great dog .

Arrival Story:
I got him at a pet store (again, before I knew better) for my son when he was in the 6th grade. He was a very sick child with asthma and severe allergies and a chihuahua was the only dog I could think of to try. They told me at the pet store that I could return him if Sebe was allergic to him. Sebe really needed a companion that year...he missed 65 days of school with a stomach full of ulcers caused by his asthma meds! He and Jose became fast friends but you know chis...he chose me as his most special person. The feeling was mutual!

Bio:
Jose lived to the grand old age of 18, when he had to be put to sleep. That was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. The vet didn't use a small enough needle at first and couldn't get enough of the medicine in and raced from the room to get a different size! I'm not sure that Jose felt anything much, but he made a rattly sound and bit down on my hand til the vet returned. I couldn't see or speak when it was over for the tears and just fled the vet's office with Jose in my arms! The vet felt awful about it and didn't charge for the euthanasia. I truly hope I don't have to do that again, but I do feel like it's my responsibility to take care of everything in my pup's life, if possible. Jose was a great pup and will be missed forever!
