A terrible thing happened here, our area got flooded. Lots of people lost their homes. We didn't, but we know people that did. My sister's dogs were at her in-laws house, and they got flooded. We thought poor Izzy and Buddy had drowned and everybody was so sad, but good news...they were saved and they had no place to go, because my sister is moving to Virginia for about a year. So guess who has them now???? Of course we do, Momma and Daddy went and picked them up, so now we have 7 dogs and 2 cats at our house. Momma says we will be keeping them now until my sister can take them back. It's crazy around here...not to mention that baby has been visiting. I don't like him at all now, because he moves now...he was better when he just laid there...now I want to bite him when he crawls...I guess I'm jealous because I want mommy to pay attention to me all the time, now she holds that baby. I heard he is leaving tomorrow...things will get back to normal for me. Momma is gonna be sad.
All morning Saturday Mommy kept telling us in her excited voice that we were going to see the Easter Bunny!! We were so excited about it, we got baths, got new pretty bandannas, cause we had to look pretty for our pictures. Even though, we all need groomed, or that's what Mommy keeps saying, I think I'm just fine the way I am! ...We head on over to Tractor Supply, that's where we always have our ASPCA adoption fairs, and on this day.......The Easter Bunny was there to make pictures with all the dogs!!! We go inside and there he is, he is huge...I've never seen such a big bunny! He reaches out to take us, well, me being the protector that I am start growling at that big furry thing, I'm not standing for this one bit, he already has Scotty and Maggie, and now he's trying to take me! Mommy assured me that it would be ok, so I gave in to this huge hairy beast....I trust my Mommy! We made the picture, and then it was over. I didn't have to bite him.
It turned out to be a wonderful day for 9 dogs who found their forever homes, we are always happy about that!!
Well, looks like I have a new brother! He's not a foster brother anymore. Being that I'm such a Mommy's boy and all, one would think that I would hate such a thing....I really like the little guy, well he's not so little, he's younger than me, but he's taller! We really get along!! We like to play together. Mommy assured me that I'm still her number one boy, and I understand that! She has room in her heart for all kinds of varmints I guess, what's one more?? Ever since Mommy joined that Appalacian SPCA thingy she has been doing lots of adoption fairs and she said she would do some more fostering. Just as long as we don't keep anymore, I think we are full here!
