Arrival Story:
I was living with my grandfather, helping take care of him after my grandmother passed away. In May, my grandfather had to go to a nursing home, since his condition deteriorated and required 24 hr care that I could not provide at home. Now home alone, I decided that it was time to get a dog. I perused the local classifieds and found an ad for English Shepherd pups. I had never heard of the breed, so after some research, I decided that it would be a wonderful breed for me. I was right!!!

A few weeks ago my Dad drove me a half-hour from home to another house. At first I thought we were just visiting, but after a few days I figured out this was my new home! We moved to Anderson. I really like the new house. We have a big window for me to watch the kids play and a big fenced-in backyard for me to play in allllll day long while Dad's at work. Dad says I've been behaving much better since I get to run some stink off during the day. I also get to play with my neighbor, Nala. Dad says she's a GSD. We have nice sidewalks for us to walk on around the neighborhood. It's just so much fun! I love this new place!

Dad decided to take me to get my haircut for the first time. My fur lately has been getting out of control, specifically behind my ears and my bottom. So Dad decided to take me to PetSmart so that they could give me a bath, trim my toenails, and take care of the messy parts of my fur. I didn't mind at all! As long as people are paying attention to me, I'm happy. I don't like that steenkin' hair dryer, though. It's loud and obnoxious and won't shutup, no matter how much I bark back.
I've also been giving my dad fits lately though when we ride in the car, but only if it's raining out and he has to use the wiper thingies. Those scare me!
After a loooong day at PetSmart, I relaxed at home the rest of the night, guarding the back door from any would-be predators and making sure the birds stayed out of my trees.
On Sunday, dad's cousin came over and they built a nice roof for my kennel. I think I'll like that!
