My dearest beloved Pepper has left me on the 10th of Febuary this year. Till now i have yet to overcome the void in my heart. It seems that this void will never fully go away. I lost Pepper due to a tragic and fatal fight which happened between her and Aeries (my golden retriever). They were fighting for a small piece of food on the ground while out for their daily walk, and there was no way to seperate the 2 of them. Aeries being the bigger dog just kept going at her and dealt the fatal blow to a dog's most vulnerable spot, Pepper's neck. There was a big gash in Pepper's neck and by the time we rushed her to the vet, it was too late. All through the journey in the car, i kept calling out her name just to keep her conscious. But just as we reached the doorstep of the vet, she gasped and shuddered... It was her last breath.
I do not blame Aeries for the loss of my beloved Pepper, but it hurts so deeply. But i know that my Pepper is safe and sound and happy up there in her doggy heaven... and she will always be looking down on me from up above.
Till the time I join you my dear friend. I love and miss you so very much.
