Arrival Story:
While shopping in Berkeley for a rug, we saw the Milo Foundation promoting dogs for adoption across the street. We walked over and started petting some of the pooches. After a couple minutes, I turned and saw my wife, teary-eyed, staring at this poor dog. Ribs showing, teats hanging (her pups were being adopted out at the same time), with no food or water or volunteer nearby. I knew she wanted to take this dog home, but did we really need 3 dogs, with a baby on the way? My wife said to me, "We don't have to adopt this dog, but if we don't I'll be unhappy for a VERY long time." Well, that was that. She came home with us -- and we've been one BIG happy family ever since
