Arrival Story:
I raised Freddy as a guide dog in training. He went back for training in January of 2003 and stayed there until July. He made it to phase 10 of 10, but in the last test, they determined that he was too stressed out when he was actually guiding someone who couldn't see. The trainers thought he'd have a nervous breakdown before he could retire and thought he'd be happiest as a pet. So he got to come back home to me!! I had been so worried about him not liking the kennels and followed his phase reports diligently. I was in England on a horseback riding trip when I got the call that he'd been "career changed." The next day I was bucked off a 17.3 hand horse at a full gallop and had a concussion. I spent the two hours I was waiting in the hospital trying to remember if I had really gotten that call about Freddy the night before. I didn't even care about my concussion! :) Needless to say, I was overjoyed when it was confirmed that I had indeed gotten that phone call.

Bio:
Freddy is my mellow yellow boy. Like most labs, he couldn't care less about anything unless food is involved. He's so good that we got Sadie because we felt like we didn't even have a dog!! My family tells me that he's actually a little person he's so well behaved. :)
