Arrival Story:
We adopted her on an icy and snowy St. Patrick's Day, 2 months after our beloved Misu the Shih Tzu passed on. The breeder had 3 puppies, two were very rambuctious and looked more Maltese. Within minutes the two Maltese had made huge messes- spilled water, shredded paper, untied shoelaces... a little too hyper for us. The 3rd puppy was apricot-colored, and looked more poodle. She was calm and sat down at our feet, asking to be pet. So we took her home, and she didn't make a single sound the 1st night in her new home! Very unusual. She just loves to follow us everywhere (including INSIDE the shower), and was such a little lady from day 1 that we just had to name her Scarlett. She is the most curious, bright, and loving dog, and it is a joy to be owned by her.

Bio:
They call me a Malte-poo. I have long legs, a short cute tail, and I can jump really really high. Beds are not a problem. I can jump thru hoops really well now! If you sing loudly and badly I will try to get to your face and paw your mouth closed, or will bark to drown you out. I prefer showtunes to opera, if you must sing. I am friendly (especially to other animals) but if you are a strange human (esp. a boy) I need some time to make sure you're cool. Trying to bribe me with food works sometimes, but they say never to take food from strangers! My forbidden love is the big rubber plant that used to be in the corner. Could there be nothing more fun to play with? The joy of pulling leaves and branches off and eating them? Sadly, the rubber plant had to get a big plastic cover and get relocated. However, the 1st day that happened I got my first Greenie! Yum!
