Arrival Story:
Chewy was found on a breezy summer night when I was returning home from a friend's house. He approached the car and proceeded to try getting in with me. I thought he was sweet and expected his owner to come over and retrieve him. I got out of the car and looked around. There were no other people around. He had a collar, but no tags so I brought him inside and put a leash on him to walk him around. A few times around the apartment complex and no one was looking for him. His fur was dirty and matted and his eye looked bloodshot. I just couldn't imagine anyone giving up this sweet baby. Until the next day when he became very angry and anxious. I had no choice but to take him to the shelter. As I drove him there, he cuddled up next to me and fell asleep. I parked and he just looked up at me with those big brown eyes. I just couldn't do it. I just couldn't leave him there. I was crying hysterically as the vet looked him over, gave him his shots and told me that he was all mine. He's been my baby ever since.

Bio:
I'm a really anxious dog. I didn't have a good home life previous to my new house, so I'm still a little nervous around people. I don't care for kids because they just get a little too rough for me. I love following my mommy around and I absolutely love chasing my tennis ball Grandma gave me. When my mommy says we're going for a walk, I start to jump so high that I can put my front paws on my mommy's lower back. She thinks I'm silly. I just learned how to sit and when to go to my crate. I'm learning my newest trick, 'up'. It's where I stand on my hind legs. Sometimes it takes a little time but I'm getting better at it. I absolutely adore hanging out with my "country cousins" at my grandma's house. They're all big dogs, but they're fun and we get to run around free and off the leash in my grandma's big front yard.

Rest In Peace:
Due to his uncontrollable aggression, Chewy was put down on Saturday, February 17th, 2007 at 11:06am. My heart aches and misses him so.
