Arrival Story:
We origionally went to a Maltese Rescue to find a dog for a friend. When we got there, we met Kody and we fell in love immediatly. Kody was bred and before he or any of his sisters were found a home, someone stole all of the dogs except for him. :( Anyway, the lady who bred him was 90 and she just ended up giving him away, and the people who took him kept him in a little box and he had to live and sleep in his own urine and feces. Somehow they lady who bred him found out about this and took him back. She then ended up dying and Kody went to her family, who didnt want him. The lady at the Maltese Rescue found out about him and asked to take him as opposed to taking him to a shelter. And that is where we found him. We adopted Kody when he turned 1 year old. Can you believe ALL of that happened in his first year of life?

Bio:
With all that he has been through, you can't imagine a happier, friendlier, sweeter dog. When we took him to the vet for his first check-up, he just rolled over on his back for the vet to examine him. When we took him to the dog park for the first time, he ran up to every other dog there and played with them. He is such a happy dog, you would never know things started out so badly for him. I can't imagine my life without him (or any of my dogs). Some of the cons of his past are that he eats his poop, we think he picked that up from having to live in it. He also has a really raspy voice, which we think is from all of his exsesive barking when he was in the box.
