Arrival Story:
My husband and I were looking for a rescue dog. K-Sea was brought to Bide-A-Wee (a local shelter) from the Municipal Animal Shelter. He had a kennel cough and was a little underweight. Bide-A-Wee took care of him and nursed him back to health and the day he was adoptable, was the day we went looking for a dog, it must have been meant to be. Apparently he was in the street when they found him. When we saw him, he didn't bark at us. But sat so straight and calm and he has the most beautiful eyes. We put our hands to the wire kennel cage and he just licked us and whimpered a little. We liked him and we took him for a walk outside the shelter. He was pulling us all over the parking lot, like he hadn't had a good walk in a long time. We thought it over and decided to take him. Despite me rubbing his back and trying to talk softly and reassure him, he shook all the way home in the back seat of our car. When we got home, he went about settling in his new home. He's been with us one month and we love him. He really found himself a good home and we couldn't be happier. UPDATE: It is now three months K-Sea is here in his new forever home and his little personality is cpming out. He is very affectionate, although does not lick our faces, just our hands and feet...he is sweet and likes to bark at anyone knocking on our door. He likes to sleep in a "hidey hole" he created under our bed...

Bio:
He is a 1 year old Wheaten terrier Mix with Wheaten Terrier being the dominant trait. He eats when he wants, can sleep in till 10-11 am , ocassionaly likes to shred tissues, loves Milk-Bones and gives us hugs...he is adorable and seems well-adjusted for what he's been through. He doesn't lick our faces but licks our hands. He had a sister "Goldie" at the shelter who was adopted the same day. We were going to take them both but another family beat us to it. But judging by the family, she will have a beautiful home. They said "goodbye" to each other in the parking lot by putting their noses together, I think they knew they were going to their new homes.
